There is no shortage of things Americans and non-Americans find wrong about the states. A recent online discussion looks to find everything the United States does better than everyone else.
1. Public Libraries

Many agreed that public libraries used to be very popular across the U.S. Nowadays, with information usually in our pockets (cell phones), they are less popular.
A few of us still enjoy the feel and smell of an actual book in our hands. The library is for you. Registering for a card is easy and free, and you have unlimited books to read.
But Libraries aren’t just for books. You can register for free to check out books, magazines, and movies. Some libraries have tools and 3D printers. Also, they provide creative activities and toys, and some even have a play area.
2. National Parks

Several people say National Parks in America are “worth the trip.” The National Park Service has recorded 423 individual parks covering more than 85 million acres in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.
Every park will look different with the U.S.’s vast climates and geographic features. However, many have camping, trails, and a lot of nature to enjoy.
3. NASA

NASA, short for National Aeronautics and Space Administration, was established in 1958 and led American space exploration. NASA studies Earth, including its climate, Sun, solar system, and beyond.
4. Public Toilets

You can usually find a public restroom somewhere, no matter where you are in America. It’s not always the cleanest bathroom, but you can easily find one.
Nothing is worse than being on a long drive far from home when nature calls. Thankfully, you can pull over just about anywhere to find a public restroom in America.
5. Barbeque

Many in the thread suggested this one may seem peculiar if you’re non-American. But Americans love a great BBQ, with friends and family gathering over good food and conversation on a beautiful day.
You can now find BBQ restaurants all over the country. Still, many Americans will tell you if you pass someone making BBQ out front who invites you over, don’t pass up the offer.
6. Banning Public Smoking

Most of America has jumped on banning smoking in public spaces. While some countries have taken this further and banned smoking even on a sidewalk, many Americans agree we are on the right path to a smoke-free environment.
7. Free Water at Restaurants

“We’re not talking about bottled water, but most restaurants automatically bring a glass of ice-cold tap water to you as soon as you sit down,” shared one person.
Once you drink about half of it, you can expect a server to be by your table to refill your glass again. They keep you well-hydrated throughout your meal. Many travelers noted that they appreciated that you could get free water “Anywhere in America.”
8. Air Conditioning

Not known to most who have never traveled outside the U.S., air conditioning should not be taken for granted. In parts of the U.S., it’s so standard it would be odd to go into a place that didn’t have A.C.
9. Postal Service

The United States Postal Service, or USPS, is a century-old institution still going strong. USPS ensures every U.S. household can receive mail daily with fixed cost first class postage, no matter how rural the location.
Some in the thread said it is the world’s envy, and others argued that other countries do it better. Either way, for 60 cents, one can mail a letter seven miles or 7000 miles away, and it will get to your destination in under a week.
10. Customer Service

Many people from other countries admitted to being surprised when they visited a restaurant or store in the U.S. for the first time. But there is no denying Americans have taken the “customer is always right” to a new level of service.
Finally, anyone who has worked in customer service can attest that the customer is not always right, and dealing with those who still believe that can be a nightmare.
