Among Us Reliable Packet 1 Error - How to Fix

There is a fairly new error that you can run into in Among Us. It seems to be a server-based one, and that can really throw a wrench into things! The Reliable Packet 1 Error has been showing up for a few people now, and if you’re the latest victim of it, you’re not alone. If you’re looking for solutions, we’re here to help.

How to Fix Reliable Packet 1 Error in Among Us

How to Fix Reliable Packet 1 Error in Among Us

The reliable packet 1 error in Among Us is a server-side connection issue. In order to fix it, you can simply try restarting to see if the error resolves itself. Alternatively, if restarting the game doesn’t work, you can swap server location entirely until the packet error is resolved. This is especially worthwhile if your friends have been able to connect to another server.

This error often occurs when a single server is overwhelmed with players or suffering a bit from other problems. Usually, this means the server just needs to bounce back. Give it a minute and it should resolve itself.

If it doesn’t, then that means that the server is getting swamped, and you’ll need to look elsewhere to play your game. Change your server location and try to convince your friends to join you on that server. While your ping might be a bit higher, it’s better than being stuck waiting to connect forever.

However, it is important to note that this error will rarely – if ever – be your fault. Resetting your router may help your connection to all servers, but it won’t stop the packet from being in an error state.

Despite its server issues, Among Us continues to be one of the best social games out there. Now available for every console and PC that you can buy reliably, it is worth trying whenever you have the time. Even when playing with random people, you can have a great time being a detective… Or being deceptive!
