Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is all about stealth, so it’s no surprise that you’ll have to find and kill some of Kjotve’s spies early on in the game during the Rude Awakening quest. After a brotherly love talk with Sigurd the night before, Eivor will be awoken mid-sleep by one of Kjotve’s spies sneaking around. Naturally, you’ll need to find all of the spies and kill them before they can share any intel that they learned.
Where to Find All of Kjotve’s Spies
There are a total of three of Kjotve’s spies that you’ll need to kill during the Rude Awakening quest in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The first will be easy to find and will be marked by the green icon on your screen. Simply follow the icon and kill the spy. However, the other two can be a bit harder to find, as they’re not marked for you.
The remaining two of Kjotve’s spies can be located just outside of town, to the left of the docks. If you’re facing the water, head left and climb up the rocks at the training area. When you reach the top, you’ll see a building that backs up to the mountain. If you climb up the gravel area behind the house, shown in the image above, you’ll uncover the Kjotve’s spies camp.
As soon as you reach the top of the ledge, you’ll be greeted by one of the spies, whom you’ll need to kill. After he’s dead, sneak past the red tent and you can easily assassinate the third spy. Once all three spies are dead, read the note next to the tent which has the Kjotve’s instructions written on it. You’ll need to bring this note back to Sigurd, who will convince the king to attack the small island of Nottfall to try and weaken Kjotve’s control.
With the three spies dead, you’ll need to sail over to Nottfall and burn all of the supply wagons. When you do this, you’ll complete the Rude Awakening quest and will be well on your way to confronting Kjotve himself!
