Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Menu Narration | How to Turn Off

Menu Narration Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

If you’re excited to begin your viking journey in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, then you may have quickly skipped through the plethora of setup options at the beginning of the game. If so, you’ll find that the menu narration option is automatically turned on. This means that every time you navigate through the menu or get a tutorial pop-up, it’ll be narrated for you. If you’d like to turn it off, we’re here to help.

How to Turn Off Menu Narration

Menu Narration Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Ubisoft has done a good job of making sure that Valhalla has a fair amount of accessibility options, ensuring that all gamers can enjoy the experience. However, depending on your personal preferences, you may not want to have all of these features on. Specifically, to turn off menu narration in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla you’ll need to:

  1. Pause the game and navigate to the main menu by pressing left on the D-Pad
  2. Select Options
  3. Navigate to Sound
  4. Scroll down to Menu Narration
  5. Toggle it Off
  6. Save changes

From there, simply back out of the settings and back into the game and you’ll find that menu narration has been turned off. While this feature is great for accessibility, if you don’t need visual aid, then this feature may be unnecessary for you. Further, if you turn off menu narration and decide you want it back, you can simply follow the steps above and toggle the feature back on.

While you’re in the settings, there are a handful of other options you can look through. So if you’re like me and skipped through the setup at the beginning of the game, you may want to take a few minutes to go back through and fix things up how you like it. After all, you can always change it back if you decide you don’t like a feature on/off. It’s going to be a long journey, so you might as well get comfortable.
