Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a ton of abilities presented to the players. They are classified as Melee and Ranged Abilities. Both from where you are able to upgrade certain tiers. These tiers will enhance your powers and abilities so you become stronger and taking out enemies can be easy.
To collect ability points, players are needed to locate and use Ability Books that are located all around the maps of Valhalla. Today we will get in-depth with the Old City Ability Book and where to find it in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Old City Ability Book Location – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The Ability Book in the Old City is located in Gullnamar near Uldar. It is a small hidden place located southeast of Uldar.
You will need to climb cliffs and pass through woods in order to get to this location. Before you enter the area, you will see a giant stone entrance inside a mountain which can lead you to the Ability Book.
Once you enter the area, simply walk forward and climb a wall where there will be a ball attached to a mechanism that is shooting out a light blue beam out of it. Your job here will be to aim the beam just above the door that it’s firstly facing. Once you have aimed at the proper mark, the door will open, leading you into another room with 4 different closed doors.
Inside the other room there will be another mechanism that is missing a ball. The ball that is missing can be found into some fire burning right next to the first mechanism. You will be needed to pick up the ball and take it to the second mechanism which it will light up a beam.
Once you have placed the ball on the mechanism, you will be able to interact with it and aim the beam towards another spot that will open a door. The correct door to aim the beam is the second eastern door, or to simplify things. When you face the entrance of the room, the second door on the left will be your needed door.
When the alignment has been set up, walk back to the first mechanism and remove the beam from the marked area. That move will close the door and you will be able to fire the beam right through the middle of the door and into the second mechanism in order to continue the beam to your needed door.
Once you have shot the beam through the door, simply climb the wall where you will see an opening that can lead into the room with the 4 closed doors. When all the beam alignment has been done correctly, the second left door will be opened and the other three closed.
You will need to enter the room with the door opened where you will enter a room filled with scrolls. At the end of the room there will be an old book that you can interact with.
