The Porky Puff is one of the earliest bosses that you can fight in Biomutant. It’s a massive three-headed beast that ate the leg of Out-of-Date, and thus you might want to seek revenge on your enemy. However, this is a traditional boss fight, and that means it has big attacks that can put huge damage on you. So, if you’re having trouble with the boss fight, we’ll try our best to help you out!
How to Beat Porky Puff in Biomutant
The Porky Puff is a two-phase boss fight, with one phase on the Googlide and the other on foot. During the first phase, circle around the Porky Puff and shoot at the little boils that it has all over its body. During the second phase, dodge his massive boulders and continuously fire or swing at him. As long as you keep on the move, the Puff will go down in no time.
The Googlide phase relies a bit on your upgrades, so hope you got a few Wrekboxes! To equip upgrades, hit your Transport button while on the Googlide to open the menu. Then, you can equip rare upgrades to improve your armor and movement speed. These upgrades do not equip themselves, so you’re going to need to equip whatever you found out in the Surfipelago.
During the water phase, if you continuously circle the Porky Puff from a safe distance, you should avoid most of his attacks. Send out your Quacks using your Magic button to avoid devastating damage and to distract the Porky Puff. As long as you keep up the assault, and have a good ranged weapon, you’ll be in a good position for phase 2.
Phase 2 is on foot, and here the Puff throws massive boulders and sweeps with its arms. Pay attention to what arm is preparing the attack to avoid the assault effectively. Dodge towards that arm for the highest chance to avoid the hitbox. Melee combatants beware; you have huge attacks to dodge! If both arms raise up, you’ll need to prepare to jump over the shockwave it lets out.
Play defensively, target its pimples, and you’ll be fine!
