It seems like that word is being thrown around right now, so some clearing-up might be in order.
What Does Trial Mean in Cold War?
What does trial mean in Cold War? Well, presumably, it means that you have not bought the game and have downloaded a free version of it, either for a free event period or as a temporary amount of time played. After that period of time has ended, the game no longer allows you to play the modes that require purchasing, such as Blackout and Domination. If you wish to continue playing those modes, you need to wait for another free period (like right now, between December 17-24), or purchase the game.
That being said, there is a glitch right now where people are getting put into the trial category by accident. If you’ve purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for the Xbox, and it’s still coming up with a “Trial has Ended” message, then you might be in some trouble. So, follow these steps:
- Open the Manage Game and Add-Ons section of your Options
- Choose Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Install all of your content packs
- Restart Black Ops Cold War and see if that fixed it
