Bloodborne Remaster Rumored For PlayStation State of Play

Bloodborne remaster

A new PlayStation State of Play event is due this week, which means one thing: rumors upon rumors. Some sound too good to be true, such as the long-teased Abandoned game, and even Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hills. One title seems to be appearing in a lot of leaks, however, meaning it could be true. That is a next-gen remaster of FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, hot off the back of Elden Ring.

Bloodborne PlayStation 5 Remaster Teased for State of Play

Yes, if rumors doing the rounds on social media are to be believed, we could see a PlayStation 5 version of Bloodborne announced this week. Fans have been clamoring for a remaster of the PS4-exclusive From Software title for years now. If we’re to believe these leaks, it could finally happen. Of course, nothing has been confirmed by Sony just yet, but sources suggest it could be on the cards.

At the time of writing though, no reputable leakers have put their hat in the ring regarding a Bloodborne PS5 remaster. The closest so far was a fake account pretending to be the renowned source Nibellion. Sadly, this turned out to be false. Equally, there have been several supposed mock-ups of the running order for the new State of Play, with Bloodborne appearing in several. Other titles among the list include the long-rumored Resident Evil 4 remake, as well as a PS5 version of The Last of Us. The latter game has already been confirmed by Sony, giving currency to those leaks.

However, the only official line on this State of Play so far comes from Sony. It says the presentation will focus on “reveals from third-party partners,” as well as some more PSVR2 news. Since Bloodborne is a technically a first-party title due to its console exclusivity, it may not show up.

Of course, we’ll know for certain in just a few days. If the rumors aren’t true, then the fervor around Bloodborne remaster leaks could be the motivation needed for FromSoftware to get to work on it.
