The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Alchemic Bounty is a Passive Shard that can be used to give players a random chance to double a crafted item while in Alchemy. This is obviously a sought-after Shard that Shardbinding players are going to want to have available to them as they get further and further into the game.
However, the Alchemic Bounty in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night can be a little hard to understand, so let’s take a look at what it is and how you can obtain it. And, with continued efforts, you can eventually max out the Shard for more noteworthy rewards.
The Alchemic Bounty Explained
If you’re wondering what the Alchemic Bounty is in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, then you’re not alone. Basically, it will give players the chance to make double an item in Alchemy through Johannes’s crafting station in Arvantville. Instead of only getting one resource in return, you now have a chance of getting yourself two items.
Further, once you have mastered the Alchemic Bounty by collecting additional Shards, you have a chance at obtaining more items. For this, you’ll need Silver, Gold, Alexandrite, and Bixbite to enhance the Alchemic Bounty Shard, which ultimately helps amplify the chance of acquiring a couple of items. This can be done through the help of Johannes by preparing food and crafting new items.
Expert Tip
There are many recipes scattered throughout Hellhold, where it becomes apparent that crafting must be done at some point to obtain additional perks for Miriam’s stats. Therefore, collect as many recipes as you can before returning to Arvantville to craft multiple items at once. It’ll save you the trip to Arvantville and back, along with any Waystones that you wish to save for another time.
Moreover, if you have it equipped and toggled, then you have a chance to get triple. Mastering the Alchemic Bounty will take a decent amount of time, but it is definitely worth the trouble as you progress through the Hellhold castle in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
How to Get the Alchemic Bounty Passive Shard
As you can see, having the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Alchemic Bounty is in your best interest, especially as you continuously collect items from room to room. You can find the Alchemic Bounty in the Gardens of Silence. The Alchemic Shard is dropped by an enemy known as a Zagan, which is a demon in the form of a cow with wings.
The drop rate for the Passive Shard is set at a slim 2.00%, making this more of a chore than a speedy activity. In other words, going back and forth in a room where a Zagan resides is your best method to getting the Alchemic Bounty.
The Zagan is a Level 11 enemy who has 99 HP, located in the Garden of Silence. You will encounter them early on in the game, so if you have been playing for a while, you likely won’t have much trouble defeating them. However, if you’re a newer player, you should still be able to defeat it with your standard Shardbinding attacks. Keep fighting them until one drops an Alchemic Shard and then you’ll be on your way to crafting double or even triple items.
In addition to the Passive Shard in question, the Zagan beast can also drop Beast Beef, Beast Milk, Monster Horn, and Rennet upon defeat. These items have a better chance of spawning than the Alchemic Bounty with its 2.0% rate, but be sure to keep note of these as you return to Johannes.
The name itself for the Alchemic Bounty is related to Johannes’s practice in Alchemy. Quite notably, he is the last surviving Alchemist who possesses the skills and craftsmanship to prepare and craft items for Miriam in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
