Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a game that continues the Metroidvania tradition of acquiring an assortment of skills and items. In addition to collecting new gear, players are able to craft different items that they can use to receive in-game bonuses. The Classic Spaghetti recipe is one of those items that players want to make, but often have trouble finding.
The hardest step to crafting this item is finding the Classic Spaghetti recipe book. After all, you need to know how to make it in order to put the dish together. So, where is the Classic Spaghetti recipe book? How can we find this tasty Prepared Food for Miriam as she makes her way through the map? This guide will explain everything you need to know.
Classic Spaghetti Recipe Book Location
The Classic Spaghetti recipe book in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is located at the Twin Dragons Tower. The recipe will be at the first tower in the region, and getting it requires you to have the inverted jump ability unlocked. You can also find the Spaghetti recipe book with the high jump, but the inverted jump is going to be unlocked first.
This will all occur after your encounter with Valac, the twin-headed dragon with fire-breathing attacks and tail-whips. Ideally, you should have Miriam’s ID card when you get to the chest in question.
A lot of players are having issues finding the Classic Spaghetti recipe book, which is obviously needed to craft the dish. So, where exactly is the Classic Spaghetti recipe book located in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night?
According to some players, if you have insane jumping skills, you’ll be able to find the pasta recipe with just a double jump and dive kick, but that method requires a lot of skill. So, it would be better to wait until you have the inverted jump unlocked.
You’ll find the Classic Spaghetti recipe in a green chest as you travel through the Twin Dragons Tower. Toward the bottom level of the tower, make your way to the right while looking upward for a green chest slightly illuminated in a purple hue. It’ll be above a purple light and a couple of Poison Toads, so be sure to watch your steps here. They can inflict poison with a single touch.
Now, with an inverted jump, you can ideally flip the screen to land on the opposite ground adjacent to the chest. Essentially, stand over the chest then invert once more. You’ll land on the platform containing the chest; thus, retrieve the Pasta Dish/R item to bring back to Arvantville.
Alternatively, you can also rely on the double jump skill and air kicks to gain a distance for yourself. No inverting is required here. With this in mind, you have options to choose from when it comes to opening the green chest. The high jump skill also applies to this case.
Once you’ve found it, you can use it to craft yourself some yummy spaghetti!
Expert Tip
While navigating through the Twin Dragons Tower may be a tedious effort, there are a few HP and Mana Upgrades stashed throughout the massive structure. Be sure to have all jumping abilities unlocked to reach all of the chests. There are 2 Health Upgrades and 3 Mana Upgrades scattered all around the tower.
How to Cook Classic Spaghetti
Upon obtaining the recipe, Pasta Dish/R, you now have the necessary information for Johannes. He’s located in a makeshift shop in Arvantville, along with the other NPC vendors that you can interact with for more resources. Using his crafting skills, Johannes will be able to cook Classic Spaghetti with the following ingredients:
- Consomme (x1)
- Moco Leek (x3)
- Pasta (x1)
- Tomato (x1)
Consuming a single serving of Classic Spaghetti will grant the player +10 Max Mana Points (MP). This will come into effect the first time that they eat the Prepared Food from Johannes.
Johannes also crafts new items and enhances Shards as you collectively assemble materials and recipes for your gameplay. Use the fast-travel green rooms to quickly go from one area to the next, with easy access to Arvantville to contact Johannes and the other survivors in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Now that you’ve cooked up some fresh pasta for Miriam, you’re one step closer to maximizing your heroine’s capabilities. Maxing out both HP and MP bars is essential as you evolve from one area to the next.
