Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Where to Find Demon Horn

If you’ve been dedicating hours to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, then you definitely know how hard it can be to acquire all of the various items that are dropped by enemies. One of those items is the Demon Horn, which can be used to craft a few items in the game. If you want to add the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Demon Horn to your inventory, then you have come to the right place!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Where to Find Demon Horn

This guide is going to show you exactly where to find the Demon Horn. Across Gebel’s castle in the game, only a specific area will be taken into account since each area is unique to the game’s Metroidvania format. With this in mind, let’s equip our best builds and take another trip into the Hellhold for the Demon Horn material.

How to Get a Demon Horn

If you’re looking for the Demon Horn, you’re going to need to find an enemy known as Gaap. This is a Level 36 enemy who can be found in the Oriental Sorcery Lab. It’s distinguished by an enlarged eyeball to accompany its terrifying crimson physique. Air attacks will be required here, for their wings can stir some trouble for Miriam if she’s used to fighting from the ground.

Specifically, the primary location for a potential Demon Horn drop is right next to the Oriental Sorcery Lab and its fast travel room (as pictured below on the map). Spawn there, then exit the fast travel room to the right — a flying Gaap will be waiting for you. In normal Metroidvania fashion, you might have to continuously spawn back into the room after you’ve slain them to no result. There are other enemies in the room, including the irritating jumping Gusions and Ninjas, though you don’t necessarily need to fight them. Just focus on the Gaap for this task.

What Is A Gaap?

Gaaps are winged monsters who have two horns on their head. They’re set at level 36 with an HP range of 261. While being relatively easy to kill, be cautious of their fellow demons who are completely hostile toward Miriam. Taking on more than one enemy at a time is easier said than done, depending on which abilities you’ve unlocked.

Unfortunately, the Demon Horn drop rate in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is pretty low, at 5%. This means you’ll likely have to take on loads of enemies to find a Demon Horn. In theory, you’re only going to find five Demon Horns for every 100 Gaaps that you defeat. Be prepared for a lot of running back and forth in the Oriental Sorcery Lab.

How to Craft Demon Horns

Once you’ve collected enough Demon Horns, you can take them to Johannes to craft your items. He can readily prepare new resources and meals to help Miriam advance to the next level — a worthy venture as players explore more of the castle.

Upon retrieving the Demon Horn from a fallen Gaap, you can enhance the Red Remembrance and Venom Mist Shards for Miriam, as well as the option to craft the actual equipable Demon Horns for the heroine to wear. Indeed, it is a hair accessory, built with 13 DEF and 2 CON points.

To craft the Demon Horns, you’ll need to have two individual Demon Horns and one Platinum in your inventory. Players can find the latter ingredient by searching and executing the Axe Outsider, Kunekune, and Zepar enemies. Additionally, Lindsay can reward you with Platinum if you successfully avenge the death of Mathius, where six Archdemons must be dealt with by the hands of Miriam.

Expert Tip

Johannes’s alchemy craftsmanship can provide Miriam with a wide range of edible goods that can help level up her stats. Therefore, you’re going to need an immense amount of resources if you’re looking to cook a variety of meals. Dominque will have some extra supplies for you to sift through if you can’t find a necessary ingredient or two. It’ll help with the tedious process of respawning into rooms to open up chests and defeat enemies with a slim chance of dropping items.

As a bit of bonus information, when you’re taking on a Gaap, you also have a chance of picking up a Demon Wing or an Augment STR Shard. A Demon Wing can be used in crafting and has a 10% drop chance. The Augment STR Shard is a Passive Shard that has a drop rate of 4%. So if you aren’t so lucky to get the Demon Horn material in question, you have a chance of acquiring other items for your efforts. Spam spawning is the name of the game here if you want the most of out Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
