The newest installment of Call of Duty is here, with Vanguard. Like you might expect with the hectic action of the COD series, cosmetics are super important. And thankfully, they haven’t lost their touch! Unlocking new reticles, camos, and more for your weapons will be a pretty great time… However, you’ll need to take the first step! But how can you do to unlock these reticles in CoD: Vanguard?
How to Unlock Reticles on CoD: Vanguard
In order to unlock reticles in Call of Duty: Vanguard, you can either purchase cosmetic packs or complete weapon challenges that the cosmetic is behind. The cosmetic packs are usually purchased as microtransactions or with COD Points. Alternatively, specific reticles can be unlocked by completing weapon challenges. Unfortunately, some reticles will be locked behind paid content and some behind weapon challenges.
As of the writing of this article, many players are complaining about a bug that prevents cosmetic unlocks. This is keeping players from getting their reticles. If this is happening to you, you’re not alone! The bug will most likely be fixed very soon. It’s not uncommon for big games like this to have some bugs that need to be hammered out in the first few days after release.
COD Points are used in both the in-game store and for the Battle Pass. As you climb through the ranks, be sure to check the store every now and then. You may get lucky and find an awesome reticle in the store, or through the battle pass itself.
If your reticle requires a weapon challenge, then you may complete those challenges in either multiplayer or Zombies. It will depend on the challenge. Some challenges will also require you to be at a specific weapon level before you can complete them. Make sure you’re playing the correct mode and above the weapon level before you send in a bug report!
