We’re approaching the premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us series. After a first look in September, the official Last of Us HBO Twitter revealed a series of character posters.
Originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2013, The Last of Us is a dramatic take on the post-apocalyptic genre. It features Joel and Ellie navigating a brutal, ruthless world where surviving humans are just as, if not more, dangerous than the Infected.
A sequel, The Last of Us Part II, was released for PlayStation 4 in 2020. The original saw a remaster for the PlayStation 5 and was released this summer.
The show’s official synopsis is as follows:
“Joel and Ellie, a pair connected through the harshness of the world they live in, are forced to endure brutal circumstances and ruthless killers on a trek across post-pandemic America.”
