Chivalry 2 is a franchise known for its epic medieval combats. It was launched in April 2021 and received favorable reviews, making us excited about what is to come. So, if you are interested in what is the game’s future, here is all you need to know about the upcoming content roadmap and DLC plans.
Chivalry 2 Upcoming Content | 2021 DLC Plans and Roadmap
Chivalry 2 developer, Torn Banner Studios, has not announced any official DLC plans at the time of writing. However, they have offered a content roadmap detailing when we can expect new features to come to the game. Below is some of what we can expect to see in the game within the next few weeks and months:
- One extra map
- Horses
- A new game mode
- New character voices
- More customization for your characters
- A Player Profile screen
- Arrow Cam
- Moderation tools for text chats
Further, developers also seem to be aware of things that need urgent fixing. As a sign of good faith, they’ve dedicated themselves prioritizing these updates ASAP:
- Improvements on the server’s performance
- PS4-PS5 cross-generation party support
- General bug fixes and improvements on the Party System
- MTX pricing fixes
Some other issues, on the other hand, should be addressed within the month. According to the developers, players can expect the following:
- Gameplay improvements
- Balance changes
- Numerous Bug Fixes
- Fixes on EGS Party & Party invites
- Xbox Series S running the game at 60fps
The second patch should be live in July, but there is a chance it might come up a bit earlier than that. These are some of the issues that the developers intend to have addressed by then:
- Console Server Browsers
- Crash Fixes
- FFA Victory not triggering correctly
- A system that helps prevent accidental purchases
As you can see, there are many things that Torn Banner Studios seems to be willing to work on. Besides, this is just what they have publicly announced, so they might be working on more official DLC plans internally.
When it comes to new content, the addition of horses is definitely eye-catching. However, it isn’t entirely clear what that means for the gameplay. Hopefully, Chivalry 2 will become a much more interesting game when having a cavalry in it becomes a thing.
