Exquisite Meat, much like most meats, can’t do anything while raw. It’ll give you the Food Poisoning debuff if you eat it without doing any sort of cooking first.
Raw Exquisite meat can be combined with several pets in the Animal Pen to create new pets. The Aardwolf Cub, Playful Pups, Crested Lacerta, Crocodile, Feral Dog, Hyenas, Island Lynx, Jaguar, Komodo, Panther, Sabretooth, Salamander, Locust Spawn, Jungleclaw, Tiger, Frostwolf, and Wolf all use Exquisite meat to evolve into their adult forms.
On a bonfire, you can cook these meats. These are passable sources of food, sating 77 hunger and restoring seven health per three seconds. Drying it makes a relatively long-lasting meal.
Cooking multiple stacks with Rare Spices, Salt, Shadebloom or Spice can make higher quality food items. Even so, upgrading the pets to their adult forms tends to be the main reason to even consider farming this meat.
