Crusader Kings 3 Initializing Game Fix

One of the most unbearable issues all gamers can often face is being stuck on a loading screen forever. Many gamers have reported that Crusader Kings 3 is stuck on the starting loading screen and it’s initializing for ages. So, is there a fix for this?

Fear not! There’s an easy solution to this problem once we’ve found out what exactly is causing it. As a result, I’m going to show you how to fix the initializing game error on Crusader Kings 3.

Stuck On Initializing Game In Crusader Kings 3 – How to Fix?

There are a couple of things we can do here in order to fix this issue with Crusader Kings 3. In fact, this game isn’t the only one that has caused such a problem. There are countless games that can display an initializing error. And, the fix for all of them is almost always the same.

Let’s try a couple of different ways to get rid of this pesky problem.

Run Crusader Kings 3 as Administrator

One of the fastest and most effective ways to solve most launch issues with games is by running them as an administrator. What does this mean?

It’s a simple matter of tricking your PC to give all permissions to run the game. This won’t harm your PC, don’t worry. Sometimes, certain apps ask for several permissions in order to launch. If the PC is blocking some of those permissions, then the game or app won’t launch.

As a result, you can do the following to hopefully solve this problem.

All you have to do is go to your desktop, right-click on Crusader Kings 3, and click on “Run as administrator”.

Reinstall Crusader Kings 3

If that fails to fix the game launch problem, then fear not. There is another solution. This one is just as simple but will take a bit more time.

Uninstalling and then installing Crusader Kings 3 again has a high chance of fixing almost any issue that has occurred to it. If Crusader Kings 3 is stuck on the loading screen, then here is what you have to do.

  • Go to the Start menu on your Windows device
  • Type in “Control Panel” and click Enter
  • Go to “Programs and Features” and scroll down to find Crusader Kings 3
  • Once you find it, right-click on it and hit “Uninstall

Then simply wait for the game to uninstall. Once it’s done, restart your PC and install the game once more. Simply follow the same installation steps as previously when you first installed the game. This should fix your Crusader Kings 3 “initializing game” error.

Just keep in mind that this method will completely wipe out your saved progress and force you to start from the beginning once you install it again.
