Cyberpunk 2077 is not afraid to kill people. NPCs die in this game like it’s the Game of Thrones, and V suffers a lot for it. One character who forms a really cool connection with V is Evelyn Parker. Your conversations with her open up insights into Night City, V’s character, and the depth of the cyborg psyche. So, if you play it right, can you save Evelyn Parker? Or is her death just another one that’s destined to happen to V to make them hate Night City just that much more?
Can You Save Evelyn Parker in Cyberpunk 2077?
The answer is no, Evelyn Parker is guaranteed to die in the story of Cyberpunk 2077. Her death is an essential plot element, and so there’s no way to circumvent it or change it in any way. If you want to get through the main story campaign of Cyberpunk 2077, you’re not going to be able to take Evelyn with you. The trauma is simply too much.
Evelyn is important to the story, just because she helps you learn something about Night City – nobody can be trusted. She helps you with the braindance and really wants you to get out of your partnership with Dex. That ends up being a pretty good read, since Dex betrays you! Your choice here does not change Evelyn’s destiny, sadly, so you can split with Dex or her without her surviving.
Then, later on, you hear about Disasterpiece. Your choices here won’t change her fate, either. You can save Evelyn Parker from the Scavengers as well, but eventually she will commit suicide in Judy’s bathroom. So, unfortunately, no matter what you do, Evelyn Parker will die at some point in the main story of Cyberpunk 2077.
Evelyn’s story is one to show how the dismal state of the city will get to everyone. It’s why your job is to flip Night City on its head — do it for Evelyn!
