Cyberpunk 2077 has finally crashed onto every major console. This is a titan of an RPG, and so you’ll probably be swamped in side quests right away. One that ends up being confusing is called the Gig. The Gig Free reward has held up a few players recently. The quest itself seems simple, and it is! But for some reason, completing the quest can be annoyingly difficult. If you’re stuck, then hopefully this guide can help you!
How to Get The Gig Free Reward in Cyberpunk 2077
To collect the Gig free reward, you’ll need to finish the Lockdown part of the quest. This requires you complete main story missions until the lockdown is lifted. Then, collect a reward from Wakako in Japantown. Finally, head to Cassius Ryder’s ripperdoc shop to get the free reward.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing there is a known glitch with Cassius Ryder where he has no reward. This will render the quest unable to be completed.
The Gig is the quest after the Main Story mission called “The Rescue.” It’s part of Act 1 and is unlocked after the second quest, so you might have missed it. It’s really early on! The lockdown doesn’t seem to do much more than usual to get in your way, other than forcing you to stay in the Watson map. That’ll make it hard to get to Japantown! Just progress through the story until the lockdown is lifted.
Now, the problem is accepting the rewards, which is pretty uncommon in RPGs. Since Cassius is currently in a bugged state, you might suddenly run out of luck. The game is fairly buggy at the moment, so you may want to either restart the game to see if Cassius fixes himself, or wait for the game to fix itself.
