Arkane Lyon’s first-person shooter Deathloop brings back the playground setup seen in the studio’s previous games like Dishonored. As such, there’s a range of wacky guns and powers to unleash upon your enemies. While you’ve got a lot of the firepower you’d expect, from handguns to grenades, there are also four legendary weapons to find. These are in the gold tier the game’s arsenal, and as such, they are much harder to get your hands on. Fear not, we can help. Here’s a look at the four legendary weapons in Deathloop and what you need to do to unlock them.
Deathloop Gold Tier Guns | All Legendary Weapons
There are four legendary weapons in Deathloop: the Constancy Automatic, the Sepulchra Breteira, the Strelak Verso, and the Heritage Gun. Each of these gold tier guns has a different location and unlock requirement. If you want to get them all, you’ve got your work cut out for you.
Constancy Automatic
First up is the Constancy Automatic, a one-handed SMG with a sleek white finish, and the useful ability to fire and reload at the same time. Yes, the Constancy Automatic defies the laws of physics – and as such, it’s one you’ll want to get your hands on as soon as possible. To get it, there’s a specific Visionary that you have to kill and loot. This is Frank, who resides in a nightclub within the Fristad Rock area. First, enter this region of the Deathloop map, then follow the missions that’ll pop up once you’re there. It’ll take you across the area, and you’ll eventually see “Frank’s Club” pop up as a location on your HUD.
Once you’re in the club, you’ll need to get a hold of a Classpass. This is a special item that’ll grant you access to the further levels of the nightclub. You can get that by killing Frank’s grunts – and there are plenty of them to take down. With that, you’ll get to Frank’s safe room, where he’s hidden behind bulletproof glass. Hit the big red button next to the safe room to open the door, dispatch of Frank, and the Constancy Automatic will be yours.
Sepulchra Breteira
Next is the Sepulchra Breteira, a hefty sniper rifle that will never jam, no matter how often you use it. It’s the most powerful long-range weapon in the game, and luckily, it’s very easy to acquire. It’ll become available once you’ve entered the Eternalist cult’s territory in Updaam. The good news is you don’t have to kill a Visionary to unlock the weapon. Instead, all you need to do is enter the region via the Updaam tunnel, during the afternoon phase of the game’s night-cycle.
If done correctly, you’ll get a message from an Eternalist member. They’ll tell Colt that there’s a gift for them outside the Dorsey Mansion, which is visible from Colt’s apartment hideout. You can spot it on your minimap by looking at the northern side of the cliff’s edge. Once you’re there, you’ll see a package outside the snowy gates. Inside is the Sepulchra Breteria.
Strelak Verso
The Strelak Verso is a set of dual-wield pistols that you’ll unlock through the mission In This Together. The best part of these weapons is their versatility, as you can combine them to form a lethal SMG. You can only start the quest during afternoon in the night-cycle, in the Complex District. As you roam the area, you’ll hear an explosion in the distance, which you need to follow. You’ll be greeted by Eternalist cult members outside a bunker, who you need to fend off.
Make your way through the mine, killing Eternalists and keeping an eye on the battery slots, filling them with batteries as you encounter them during the battle. There’s four in total, all of which unlock different parts of the bunker. You’ll have to explore each and every one of them, taking out grunts and replacing batteries, as you collect all four. Once you have all of them and you’ve cleared all the areas, you’ll encounter an armory. Insert your batteries here, then progress through the doors, and the Strelak Verso will greet you at the end.
Heritage Gun
Last but not least is the Heritage Gun, a powerful shotgun nicknamed the Super Shifty. You get this one by completing a mission at Karl’s Bay during the evening. It’s triggered as you head out of the tunnel, where two Eternalists are blown up to your right. Follow the noise to the Fathoms of Lament building, where you’ll see a map indicating several presents across the area. You’ll have to open each of these to unlock the weapon.
To open the presents, all you have to do is approach and interact with them. The only problem is that they’re guarded by mines, puzzles, and enemies. They’re often on a time limit too, making the challenge that much harder. Equally, they’re randomly generated location-wise, so they won’t always be in the same place. Some involve inputting door codes, while others are basic trip mines, so be careful and plan your approach strategically. Once all four presents are opened, head back to the Fathoms of Lament, where a new door is open. There’s one more puzzle in store, with lasers to avoid and levers to pull. With that done, there will be one last present: Your final gold tier weapon, the Heritage Gun
