The recent Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted expansion added a bunch of new weapons to the game. One new addition is the Chain of Command, a Stasis machine gun that rattles off bullets like your classic LMG. It may not be the most effective for close-range combat, but if you’re dealing with hordes of enemies from far away, it’ll absolutely shred. If you like the sound of the Destiny 2 Chain of Command weapon, we’ve got the lowdown on how to get it!
How to Get Chain of Command Machine Gun
To get the Chain of Command machine gun in Destiny 2, you’ll have to complete a fixed set of objectives. There are three different game modes you can get the MG from, each with their own list of tasks. They are Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit, so the chances are you’re already familiar with them.
When you choose one of those three modes, you’ll see your individual ranking in each one. It’s by getting that ranking to the top level possible that you’ll get the Chain of Command. It’ll likely take a lot of grinding through these modes, with new specific objectives likely cropping up to ensure you’ve always got something to work towards. For now though, your best bet is to dive into a match of Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit, aiming to do as well as possible for maximum rewards. You should note, however, that you can only progress one of those levels at once. Therefore, you’ll need to pick a mode and grind it out until you get the Chain of Command, because restarting in a different mode will hinder your progress.
The grind is worth it though, because the Chain of Command is a really useful machine gun in Destiny 2. The Legendary-tier weapon has reasonably low Impact stats at just 41, but increased handling and stability means it can score decent damage to enemy hordes over time. It may not become your go-to for raids, but the Chain of Command is still worth getting.
