Destiny 2 Le Monarque Catalyst - How to Get

Doming a person with an arrow is always fun in Destiny 2. But it’s especially fun when the bow is actually good! Le Monarque is here, and it threatens to be a legitimately powerful Combat Bow for the Energy slot. This weapon has been working well for Hunters rocking the Void subclass, but any Void player will find this weapon to be devastatingly effective. If you want the details on this dope weapon, you’ve come to the right place!

How to Get the Le Monarque Catalyst in Destiny 2

To get the Le Monarque, you’ll have to purchase it from the Tower at the Monument to Lost Lights. Scrape together an Exotic Cipher, 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Dusklight Shards, and one Ascendent Shard (or by using Forsaken tokens) and you’ll get it. Then, you’ll need to grind Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit to acquire experience for the Catalyst bonus. This catalyst gives a big boost to statistics as well as the ability to heal while on a killing spree.

Since Le Monarque was originally a Forsaken DLC weapon, it’s a little bit old by now. So, you can purchase it from the Tower as long as you have the right currencies. It’s a touch expensive, but the bow itself is working really well in Void builds, so… Not a bad investment.

Once you have the bow, you’ll have a sick Energy Weapon. Poison Arrows rewards patience with the weapon with AoE damage and a damage over time. This can prevent health regeneration from saving a low-health opponent while also making this a viable PvE weapon for basic mobbing. The Hunter Exotic Oathkeeper can help to ensure that you get perfect draws with this weapon.

The Catalyst is potent, but not strictly necessary to use this weapon to the fullest. Other than the normal Catalyst stat boost, the health regeneration is more useful in PvE. You can proc it in PvP, though, and the bow itself is fun enough to use that the grind won’t be too bad. If you really want to dominate leaderboards with this thing, you’ll need to grind a bit!
