How to Get the Stormchaser in Destiny 2
The Stormchaser LFR is a very popular weapon due to it’s use of heavy ammo, and the perks it can come with. Many players have opted to roll this weapon with perks like Clown Cartridge, Liquid Coils, or even the Arrowhead Brake. The weapon is mainly used for raids if it’s given the Boss Spec Weapon mod, as it increases it’s already powerful damage against bosses. Since the Stormchaser is a three-round burst due to its archetype, many players see it as a powerful weapon.
However, how does one get their hands on a Stormchaser LFR? The answer comes down to farming. You’re going to want to head into the Duality Dungeon. Your best bet to get your hands on the gun is in the Second Encounter. Since Duality has changed the way that dungeons work, you are now able to farm them infinitely. Previously dungeons rewarded players every week. The second encounter in the Duality dungeon has the Stormchaser in it’s specific drops.
It’s in the part of the encounter where you open the vault. You’re more likely to get the Stormchaser there, than from the dungeon boss. While the boss does drop the Stormchaser, it also drops every other weapon in the dungeon as well. This means that you’re going to have a harder time getting the weapon to drop. Your best bet is to redo the Second encounter in the dungeon until you get your hands on the mystical weapon.
