Disney Dreamlight Valley | Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring Purpose

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring Purpose

The Frozen gang has all sorts of surprises waiting for our Disney Dreamlight Valley protagonist. Elsa and Anna are especially active, and you’ll be doing a ton of quests for them while you become friends. Elsa especially has a lot of work to do! While you are doing her quests, you might come across a particular reward. The Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring is a strange item that references the five-star meal, Arendellian Pickled Herring. If you’re wondering what this item is for, we can lend a hand!

What Is The Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring For?

Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring Disney Dreamlight Valley

Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring is obtained by completing Elsa’s questline in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This quest item has a marker hovering over it, but like many quest items in DDV, it doesn’t have a purpose just yet. This is most likely a quest item that will be used for a future update or questline. For now, you should hold onto it by throwing it into your castle — it will likely find a use after a future update.

Unlike the normal pickled herring from Elsa’s home country, you can’t craft this especially smelly item. This special variant requires you to crash through Elsa’s friendship questline. So, if you’re interested in what it looks like, be sure to make good friends with our Frozen queen!

There is also a standard Arendellian Pickled Herring recipe. That dish calls for Garlic, Onion, Lemon, Basil, and Herring. It’s a five-star meal, meaning it’s quite valuable. However, the Extra variant is unique, and cannot be cooked like other dishes.

Unfortunately, DDV is still in quite early access, so you won’t be able to use many of the quest items currently in the game. The Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring is one of them. You will probably need this item later on, so try to find a place to store for now.
