The mystical cave in Disney Dreamlight Valley includes three different magic gates that must be unlocked to help Ursula. Upon entering the puzzling area, you can easily traverse through the first gate by placing specific gems onto the statues. Now, for the second magic gate, you’ll need to gather some crops to continue with the “With Great Power” Merlin quest. Luckily, you already have access to the necessary resources. Here, we’ll show you!
How to Remove the Second Magic Gate in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Another trio of statues awaits us at the second gate, with three respective crop holes in front of them. The clue on the tablet reads: “Discover the right crops to grow to continue on below. One is underground, the other gold and brown. What remains is red and round.” What this basically translates to is that we need carrot, wheat, and tomato seeds. These can be acquired by visiting Goofy’s stalls in the Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach.
Carrot and wheat seeds can be found at the trading stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome. Carrot seeds sell for 10 Star Coins a bag, and the wheat seeds go for only one Star Coin. For tomato seeds, head over to Goofy’s stall on Dazzle Beach to purchase them for eight Star Coins. With your newly acquired seeds, return to the cave to proceed with the quest.
Next, plant the crops in the three holes in whichever order of your choosing; you don’t have to abide by the clue’s sequence. You can either wait for the crops to grow, or you can venture out into the Valley to engage in other quests. Granted, it won’t take long, but you’re better off achieving Dreamlight than standing around and waiting for the aforementioned crops to grow.
In the end, you’ll have three new crops to harvest, which will play a part in the cave puzzle’s third magic gate. It involves cooking Veggie Pasta with the crops, so be sure to pick them up for the next part of the quest.
