Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Gameplay Footage Has Leaked Online

Dragons never go out of style, and one series featuring them is gearing for a comeback. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has a lot of mystery surrounding it, but recently footage showcasing the game in its alpha stage has been leaked. According to descriptions, the footage covered some of the game’s gameplay and an idea of the visual style. It’ll be quite some time before the world gets an official trailer. Likewise, there’s no telling when it will actually be released. Still, this can serve as a sort of tease as to what players may expect in the future.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Alpha Version Has Leaked

Alongside Mass Effect, BioWare attempted to create a fantasy counterpart of sorts in Dragon Age, which began in 2009. Since then, the series grew to include numerous titles of varying success, and next in line is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Not much was revealed about the game, but some of its alpha footage was leaked to the internet, appearing prominently on Reddit. According to Eurogamer, the leak was the result of gameplay footage a playtester recorded and posted online. Though it has since been taken down, another video was uploaded to describe the footage in detail. The reaction has been promising especially when the idea that God of War (2018) was used as part of its basis.

The Dragon Age games are RPGs with a heavy focus on narrative and open-ended stories. You control an important figure in a time when the fantasy land of Thedas is in great turmoil. Whether it’s the different kingdoms at each other’s throats or powerful destructive evil forces, it’s up to you and your character to sort things out. Games generally revolve around recruiting a rogue gallery of different warriors while building up a larger force to handle the threat of the day. Based on the decisions you make, some characters may leave, others may die, and whole towns can be destroyed. It’s definitely a series that makes you take your time.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is another edition to the hot sequel list and there’s still very little known about it. However, thanks to the leaked footage, we at least have a little bit better of an idea.
