Much like its predecessor, Dying Light 2 proudly brings back the practice of implementing otherworldly Easter eggs. There’s a lot to see in the city of Villedor, and one special room holds some questionable secrets. Strangely enough, there’s a developer room that any player can check out without relying on mods or cheats. You may have to play the game for a bit before you can access it, but it’s not otherwise difficult to find.
Where to Find the Developer Room in Dying Light 2
To unlock the developer room, you must first gain access to the Garrison District within the Central Loop vicinity. The main quest “Broadcast” must also be completed before you can proceed to the room in question. This developer room is adjacent to the tall VNC Tower, with a neighboring building housing the Airdrop THB-UT0 military spot. You must first reach the top of the VNC Tower by using your paraglider to fly on over.
The next part might be difficult to follow, though. When you reach the rooftop of the smaller building, grab hold of the red wire from the electrical box. With the red wire equipped, jump down a couple of floors to enter through an open window that will contain the wire’s outgoing plug. Connect the wire there then proceed to the second main electrical box, which will be behind you.
Perform the same steps with the second red wire, which will connect to another box a couple of floors down. Just keep in mind that using your paraglider or grappling hook is essential here, since you’re literally jumping out of a building to only fly back in. Then, from across the room, you’ll see the third box to commence the next step. Grab the wire then jump out of the opposing window to reach the grassy area outside the building.
Do this once more with the next lower grassy area, then look for an opening to the floor. You’ll find the third and final electrical panel to plug the wire into. Do this and then you can finally shut down the defense system for the dev room with the keypad next to the box.
After shutting down the security, the dev room will finally be unlocked. But be careful, a Bomber will stumble toward your way, so be sure to kill him before you explore the room. Once you deal with him, you’re free to dive into the Easter eggs within this special room, including posters for Techland’s Call of Juarez titles.
And there you have it! There are some nice moments and secrets within the dev room, so explore as much as you can before venturing back out onto the streets of Villedor.
