The Coded Sword in Elden Ring is a powerful weapon that deals deadly holy effects. It’s incredibly stacked with Critical damage, and it’s also an unblockable blade. This sword can instantly slay enemies with a couple of piercing attacks. However, it will take some effort to find it. But if you’re itching to get your hands on the Coded Sword, look no further than with our guide to its precise location.
Where to Find the Coded Sword in Elden Ring
The Coded Sword is located in Leyndell, Royal Capital, in the building that looks suspiciously similar to Roundtable Hold. To reach it, you’ll need to access the building’s upper floors. Search the area for a horse stable for you to climb on top of. Then you can climb to the second floor and access the area beyond the broken staircase.
Go down the hallway from where you entered with the horse stable until you’re able to make a right. Here, you’ll find another round table with swords penetrating through the middle of it. A Rune Arc is there for you to pick up, so be sure to grab that. The Coded Sword will be in the room to the left with double doors. This is basically the throne room, and the sword in question will be resting on the main throne. No enemies will pop up, so it’s yours for the taking.
This unblockable blade is one of the strongest holy weapons that you can wield in the game. You’ll need 20 Faith just to be able to properly wield it. It’s worth the travel and trouble, though. A fully upgraded Coded Sword can scale holy damage to 208. Just be sure to gather Somber Smithing Stones whenever you get the chance; these improve your holy sword’s ultimate power. And with its incredible range, you’ll be able to deal damage to a few enemies without having to worry about your strikes being blocked. It does have a bit of a windup when you’re going for bigger attacks, so keep that in mind if you’re feeling courageous.
