Elden Ring Crepus’s Vial | How to Get

Elden Ring Crepus's Vial

Elden Ring is the first Soulsborne with a stealth system beyond just praying. Because of this, some dungeons can be trivialized by just going on a backstab spree. That said, there are countless situations where you just can’t stay in stealth. So, you might need some help if you want to stay in the shadows. Enter Crepus’s Vial, one of the games’ many talismans. This item is great for players looking to sneak their way through dungeons, though it isn’t exactly a foolproof solution. Let’s find out where it is so we can talk about it more!

How to Get Crepus’s Vial in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Crepus's Vial Map Location

The Crepus’s Vial is one of the rewards you’ll receive along the Volcano Manor questline. Your second assassination target, Rileigh the Idle, is who you have to kill to get this item. So, once you get to Volcano Manor and start accepting requests, you will naturally get to this point. Crepus’s Vial eliminates all sound while you move, allowing for significantly easier assassinations or reducing the chance that you get ganged up on by enemies early in a dungeon.

Volcano Manor is home to quite a few items, including the great Bloodhound’s Step. To get here, you must either complete the first part of Rya’s questline to teleport down there, or you must be teleported there by the Abductor Virgin at Raya Lucaria Academy.

Rya’s quest involves you to go to Birdseye Telescope north of Laskyar. Talk to her to get her quest to get the Necklace. Head northwest to find the Boilprawn Shack. Either purchase the necklace or kill the thief to get it. Then, Rya will bring you to the Volcano Manor once you go the the Lux Ruins (or at the top of the Grand Lift of Dectus). She will bring you to the Manor.

The Manor quests are all assassination missions. These are relatively straightforward Invader fights. Simply go to where lady Tanith points you to and defeat the enemy there. Viva la Revolution!

The second kill will get you the Vial. Now you can sprint at an enemy without them turning at you… Unless they just have infini-sight. And that’s really all there is to it. Get to the Volcano Manor, work through the assassination targets, and you’re good!
