How to Get the Hand of Malenia in Elden Ring
To get the Hand of Malenia, you will first need to find and defeat Malenia herself. She can be found in the Consecrated Snowfield region that can only be unlocked by finding both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.
It is important to be aware of a few things before attempting to obtain this weapon. Firstly, you should be at a very high level. Secondly, be ready to call upon one or several friends and summons to help, because getting the Hand of Malenia requires you defeat one of the hardest boss battles in the game, albeit an optional one.
Malenia, Blade of Miquella is no pushover. She is a Demigod Boss that absorbs health as she hits you and has a vicious tornado attack in her second phase that is extremely hard to evade and will kill even high-level players very quickly.
Should you manage to defeat Malenia and retain your sanity in the process, she will drop the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess item, as well as her Great Rune, and award you 480,000 Runes. The Remembrance item is the key here. Travel to Roundtable Hold and speak with Enia. She can draw out the Hand of Malenia katana weapon from the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess.
The Hand of Malenia scales immensely with Dexterity, as it should considering it requires 48 Dex to wield properly. If you have enough Somber Smithing Stones, it will start to inflict Blood Loss at a +9 rating.
