Elden Ring Latenna Questline | Full Walkthrough

Elden Ring Latenna Slumbering Wolf Cabin

Elden Ring has quite a few locations that you can explore. Some NPCs are directly linked to nonrequired areas scattered throughout the Lands Between. These NPCs can be quite annoying to locate, since many of them randomly die after progressing a certain distance through the story. One of these NPCs is Latenna, an Albinauric woman who plays a very minor role in the game. She has a small questline that will take you across the entire map, into the Mountaintops of the Giants. So, if you’re wondering how to complete her questline, say no more!

How to Complete the Latenna Questline in Elden Ring

Latenna Elden Ring Village of the Albinaurics

The Latenna questline begins in a few different places. Latenna herself is located on the southern side of Liurnia of the Lakes, in the Lakeside Crystal Cave dungeon. This should not be on the landmass; it should be underneath an overhang.

After you clear this relatively short dungeon, head out the back end of the boss arena. Here, you will find a shack with a bonfire inside of it; the Slumbering Wolf Shack. The woman here will be hostile to you, thinking that you’ve come to steal a medallion from her.

You can talk with Gideon at the Roundtable Hold about this, but he will not be too much help with the location. This is because he doesn’t have the medallion either! We need to find half of this item to prove ourselves trustworthy to this woman.

Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right)

The first half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion is located relatively closeby! Head to the west and go underneath the plateau. In this rancid valley, find the ramp leading up out of the water. This ramp will lead you to a few enemies that seem to crawl around. Hit the shack nearby to unlock the Village of the Albinaurics site of grace. Then, ascend the other ramp, past a Perfumer enemy.

At the end of this platform, you will find a pot. Roll into this pot to reveal a man, who was hiding inside of the pot. Talk to him and exhaust his dialogue to unlock the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right).

Then, head back to the Slumbering Wolf Shack. Talk to the woman and she will accept that you are willing to help her. With a solemn goodbye to her wolf companion, you will gain the Latenna spirit summon.

You do not need to use her spirit summon to progress her quest at any point. You also do not need to keep her alive. Freely summon her as you wish, but don’t expect too much from her. She does not move and has pathetic health, but does consistent ranged damage.

Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left)

The other half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion cannot be found until much later into the game. Head to the Mountaintops of the Giants and keep heading north. At the top part of the map is a Castle, defended by a Walking Mausoleum.

Clear the dungeon. Castle Sol is a surprisingly difficult dungeon, even this late into the game. Be sure to bring Lightning Resistant armor for the boss, Commander Niall.

After you clear the final boss, head past the grace and climb up the battlements. Head through it to find the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) past a crying ghostly figure.

How to use the Haligtree Secret Medallion in Elden Ring

In order to use the Haligtree Secret Medallion, you must first have both halves. Then, head back to the Grand Lift of Rold and interact with the platform. Select the option to hoise the Secret Medallion. This will begin a cutscene and the lift will rise. However, this time, instead of going to the Forbidden Lands, you will head to a different, catacomb-like entrance.

How to Finish the Latenna Questline in Elden Ring

Completing the Latenna Questline will take a lot of riding. Once you’ve climbed out of the dungeon, you’ll be on the Consecrated Snowfield. Head to the northwest until you reach the church. It will take a while, and you’ll even go past the teleporter to get to Mohgwyn Palace!

When you reach the church, simply interact with the large Albinauric woman in the back. Latenna will automatically complete the quest for you. Your reward is a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. You will still be able to summon her in fights, if you like her.
