Elden Ring Sacrifical Axe - How to Get

There is seemingly no end to the variety of weapons that wait to be found in Elden Ring, and the Sacrificial Axe is no exception. This weapon scales well with Strength and Dexterity builds. It also has skills that can make aggressive characters a lot more deadly in combat. Here’s where you can find it!

How to Get the Sacrificial Axe in Elden Ring

The Sacrificial Axe in Elden Ring can only be found in one specific area, and only at night. Specifically, the weapon is dropped by a Deathbird boss fight in the Weeping Peninsula. You can encounter this Deathbird battle near the furthest southern area of the map, near Castle Morne. The closest Site of Grace for this fight is the Castle Morne Rampart, which lies northeast of the encounter spot.

The Deathbird is a massive, dessicated and decayed creature armed with a gnarled rod-like weapon with a hook on the end. Like any worthy Elden Ring boss fight, it winds up most of its attacks and delays slightly before executing an extremely fast swing. However, it’s pretty slow to recover after several swings. This will give you plenty of opportunity to rush in with a flurry of strikes. Rinse and repeat this a few times and the Deathbird should go down quickly.

After the battle, you claim your Sacrificial Axe. Unlike a lot of the more capable weapons in Elden Ring, this one can be upgraded using plain Smithing Stones. It’s Physical stat goes up significantly with each upgrade, so it will serve more head-on attackers well.
