Elden Ring Swarm of Flies Location - Where to Find

Accumulating blood loss in Elden Ring can be critical when it comes to fighting the many enemies throughout the Lands Between. Especially when it comes to battling bosses, a million thoughts can race through on what weapon to use and which spell to cast. That’s why a good number of players resort to using the Swarm of Flies Incantation. It’s a deadly blood incantation that can deal incredible damage, and it’s a good offensive spell to use if you keep dying. With this in mind, here’s how you can get the Swarm of Flies spell.

Where to Find Swarm of Flies in Elden Ring

The Swarm of Flies is hiding away in a cave along the lake of blood in Mohgwyn Palace. Specifically, spawn at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. From here, head north to descend toward the lake. Go past all of the Albinaurics by hugging the right side. They’ll be wielding their trustworthy shields, so be aware of any sudden ambushes. You’ll notice that there will be two caves to run into. The first will feature a Teardrop Scarab containing the Blood Tax Ash of War. But the Incantation in question here will be within the next cave. Reach the end of the cave to finally loot a corpse withholding the Swarm of Flies.

In addition to the Swarm of Flies, exit the cave and then head north to eventually go southwest to approach the palace. There, you’ll find the map fragment for Mohgwyn Palace on a corpse leading toward the palace. This is past the Albinauric-infested road where they summon the giant skeletons.

This vicious spell unleashes a swarm of bloodflies onto an enemy, which in turn greatly generates blood loss. The caster can actually move while casting the spell, giving you a bit more freedom in motion. It only costs 14 FP to cast, and it requires Faith 11 and Arcane 16 to conjure. This is relatively low for an incredibly overpowered spell that can severely damage even the toughest bosses in the game.

If you’re having trouble reaching Mohgwyn Palace, you can take a waygate teleporter near the Yelough Anix Ruins in the Consecrated Snowfield. However, the only way you can activate the teleporter is by defeating the invading Sanguine Noble. This foe might be a challenge for newcomers, but once they’re taken care of, you’re then free to take the teleporter to be transported underground Caelid, which is indeed Mohgwyn’s Palace.
