Elden Ring Swarm of Flies | Where to Find

Elden Ring Swarm of Flies Incantation - Where to Find

There are a shocking number of Incantations in Elden Ring. From spears of lightning to dragon-breath, your Faith character will have plenty of spells to cast. It seems like a lot of magic ideas were rolled into the Faith play style, and nothing represents that more than the Swarm of Flies Incantation. This seemingly magical Incantation is incredibly useful for Faith casters, giving them access to bleed. It also has great homing and doesn’t cost much FP to cast. For a mixed build, this can be a crazy good ranged option. If you’re wondering where it is, we can help.

Where to Find Swarm of Flies in Elden Ring

The Swarm of Flies is located in the Mohgwyn Palace blood marsh, along the east wall. It is directly north of the Palace Approach Ledge-Road; simply hug the eastern wall next to the Blood Marsh to find the Incantation on a corpse. If you find the Teardrop Scarab with the Ash of War: Blood Tax, you’ve gotten very close to this Incantation.

Mohgwyn Palace is a fairly late-game area. It requires you to either go to the frozen west of the Consecrated Snowfield in the northeast, or complete the questline of White-Faced Varré. Varré is the NPC that starts the game talking to you at the first Site of Grace. In order to complete his quest, you’ll need to invade players. Invade three players and soak a finger with the Maiden’s corpse in the Church of Inhibition to complete it. This’ll grant you the Bloody Finger, and the Pureblood Knight’s Medal. This item can teleport you right to Mohgwyn’s palace, so it’s the quickest you can get down here. Be very careful! This area is end-game worthy.

However, your rewards are bountiful. Swarm of Flies is an exceptional spell with great homing and good damage. Especially against enemies susceptible to Bleed, this will chunk them consistently. Do keep in mind, however, that it requires 11 Faith and 16 Arcane. You will have to invest a little bit into those stats if you want to make this spell viable. It’s well worth it, though!
