Light armor sets are a mixed bag in Elden Ring. New players probably prefer physical damage negation, but mages and spellcasters know that isn’t everything. If you need extra Vitality or Focus for your spellcaster build, you’ll want to try out the Traveling Maiden set. Be warned, however, that this set is found in one of the most dangerous locations in the entire game.
Where to Find the Traveling Maiden Set in Elden Ring
The Traveling Maiden set is found on a corpse located at the Shack of the Lofty in the Mountaintops of the Giants. To get there, head north from the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace, then turn and follow the path down the ravine west. You’ll find the Shack of the Lofty near the cliff’s edge.
However, you won’t be able to get the Traveling Maiden set right away. The Mountaintops of the Giants is a late-game area that can only be accessed after activating the Grand Lift of Rold. To use that, you’ll need to defeat Morgott, The Omen King in Leyndell, the Royal Capital city. Morgott is skilled with Holy attacks that range from raining blades and spears to wielding a giant hammer that knocks you back. You will be doing a ton of jumping and dodging for this encounter; Morgott is vicious.
Although you will use your usual patterns of combat, there is an item that can stun this demigod. The Margit’s Shackle is capable of stopping Morgott twice in battle, and it can be reused for another occasion. It will bring Morgott down to the ground for a few seconds before he’s able to pull himself back up. This will give the perfect window to unleash your most powerful attacks. Just be close to him whenever you’re ready to use it, preferably when he isn’t leaping toward you. You can obtain Margit’s Shackle by purchasing it from Patches at Murkwater Cave for 5,000 Runes. If you’ve beaten Patches, you can alternatively get one from the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold using his Bell.
