Elden Ring Twiggy Cracked Tear - Where to Find

Death is an omnipresent force in Elden Ring, and its agitating appearance could drive someone insane. The most frustrating fact: When you die, you lose all of your Runes. That is, unless you have the courage to return to your killing zone to recollect them. But that’s not exactly convenient in a game where you’re constantly challenged to the core. That’s why the Twiggy Cracked Tear is among the most helpful Crystal Tears in the game. It allows you to hold onto Runes after you die. Best of all, you won’t have to reach too far into the Lands Between to find it.

Where to Find the Twiggy Cracked Tear in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Where to Find the Twiggy Cracked Tear

You can find the Twiggy Cracked Tear at the base of the Minor Erdtree in the Capital Outskirts of the Altus Plateau. Its location is directly east of Hermit Merchant’s Shack, where you can also find a Site of Grace. At the Erdtree, you’ll find the Twiggy Cracked Tear sitting in an altar bowl where several enemies remain on standby. Slay them if you want, or simply grab the Crystal Tear and run away to safety.

Why would you bother? That’s easy. The Twiggy Cracked Tear provides a guaranteed safety net to ensure that you won’t lose your Runes upon death. Upon consuming it in the Flash of Wondrous Physick, you will have three full minutes before the buff wears off. If you die during that time, you’ll respawn with all of your Runes intact.

This is especially useful if you fear that you’re about to meet your demise and don’t necessarily want your Runes to get lost. If you’re having trouble slaying a boss and your Runes are at stake of being lost in his/her arena, this Crystal Tear will help in securing that you keep your currency.

“A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree’s bounty falls to the ground.”

Though the Flask of Wondrous Physick has many applications, the best Twiggy Cracked Tear mixes take advantage of other Crystal Tears with long-lasting buffs. One good choice is the Crimsonburst Crystal Tear, which restores HP gradually over three minutes. This provides a generous window of time to take down bosses or sneak past enemies. You might also consider mixing it with the Opaline Hardtear, which increases all of your elemental resistances for three minutes.
