Elden Ring Winged Scythe - Where to Find

One of the best early-accessible weapons in Elden Ring is the Winged Scythe. Scythes are large, wide-area slashing weapons that are great for crowd control, and this weapon in particular will be helpful for early-game players, especially those focusing on a Holy build. Check it out below!

Where to Find the Winged Scythe in Elden Ring - Tombsward Ruins

The Winged Scythe is located within the Tombsward Ruins on the Weeping Peninsula. To get there, start from the Fourth Church of Marika, then travel northeast past the Weeping Evergaol. Continue slightly more eastward until you come across the ruins. You shouldn’t have any trouble spotting the descending staircase. Simply go down the stairs, dispatch the two undead enemies and open the door at the end of the corridor. Within the chest lies the Winged Scythe.

It’s a pretty impressive weapon that fortunately doesn’t require impressive stats. It only requires a 16 in both Strength and Dexterity, along with 24 in Faith to wield. Even starting with no reinforcement, it deals an impressive 104 in Holy damage to offset the meager 87 it doles out in Physical.

On top of the extra Holy damage, it also causes Blood Loss buildup. Then there’s its built-in skill, Angel’s Wings, which is a wide, double-swing aerial attack that can do heavy damage to tight groups of enemies. This attack uses FP to increase the damage, but can still be performed when out of FP. Just know when doing this, it will only deal roughly half the normal amount of damage for this attack.

Due to the Winged Scythe being a premium weapon, it can’t be used with other Ashes of War, nor can it be buffed using other Magic or any Consumable items. However, like any other magic weapon, it can be upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones.
