In Fallout 76, CAMP stands for “Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform” and serves as a portable base building tool that will allow the player to have a place to either cook food or craft items. Camps will also allow the player to carve out a slice of Appalachia for themselves to make it feel more like home. In this guide, we explain how to place a camp.
How to Place a Camp
To place a camp in Fallout 76, players need to open their pip-boy by pressing TAB; for console users press B on Xbox One and press circle on PS4. Next players will see an option to “move camp” and the item will appear in the game allowing players to move it to a suitable build location. There will be a green circle outlining around the camp, indicating the size of the building area.
Once the player finds a suitable location and the item is then placed, they can start building their base starting with the foundations. However, before you do that, we recommend players gather up the required resources for each building part so you can quickly get a base built.
You can find these resources throughout the world of Fallout 76, and also by scraping junk or items. Players can scrap junk by going to a tinker’s workshop and selecting the option to scrap items. Doing this should give you plenty of extra resources that you can use to begin building your camp.
