There have been a lot of different wildlife added to Fortnite over the past few seasons, but perhaps one of the best were Klombo’s. These gentle giants first appeared in Chapter 3 Season 1, but then went into hibernation the next season. Now that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is underway, is Klombo back?
Is Klombo Back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
Klombo is not back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, though his skull can be found on the map. It seems the gentle giant did not survive the Collider event that ended Season 2 and was caught in the crossfire. You can find the Klombo location west of Shifty Shafts at the location in the image above.
While it is sad, the Klombo skull is a great memory of the friendly creature that we know and love. Further, not all hope is lost as there could be more Klombo’s still out there. You never know what Epic has up its sleeve, so Klombo may be back in Fortnite one of these days.
We were first introduced to Klombo back in Chapter 3 Season 1. This dinosaur-like creature roamed the island and players could stand on its back while it moved around. It liked to snack on Klomberries, and if you gave it one or two, you just might be rewarded with an item that was shot out of its blowhole.
While they were friendly most of the time, Klombo’s could get hostile too. If you shot one ten times, it would turn aggressive for 30 seconds before calming down and could deal up to 20 damage to players. When Chapter 3 Season 1 came to a close, Klombo went into hibernation and hasn’t returned since, and now it seems at least one of them has died.
While there’s a lot to enjoy in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, many were hoping that Klombo would make a return. While it’s still possible, it hasn’t happened yet. So, every season we will have to continue to ask, is Klombo back in Fortnite?
