A new season of Fortnite has arrived, and with it comes a fresh unvaluting of weapons. There have been a lot of fan favorites over the years, but one of the most popular is the Pump Shotgun. So, is the pump back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
Is the Pump Back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
Unfortunately, no, the pump is not back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. To make things even worse, Epic has decided to vault the Drum Shotgun, which was one of the most popular weapons in Season 2.
While we don’t have the pump back in Fortnite quite yet, Chapter 3 Season 3 did bring some new weapons into the game. Most notably for shotgun fans is the Two Shot Shotgun. It can hold up to eight shots and is capable of doing up to 69 damage for body shots and up to 120 damage for a headshot. The main downside is that it takes nearly ten seconds to reload, which can be critical if you’re in the middle of a fight.
While this doesn’t compare to the Pump Shotgun, it’s at least an option for players that like to use them. Additionally, it seems the Auto Shotgun has returned from Season 2 and will be available again in Season 3. However, for now, the pump is not back and will remain vaulted.
Another solid option outside the shotgun family is the Mythic Heavy Sniper Rifle. Of course, this is more of a long-ranged weapon and will be hard to find, but it certainly packs a bunch. A clean headshot will do 207 damage, while a body for will do 138. So if you can manage to hit a shot on a player with it, simply switching over to any other weapon and landing a shot or two should take care of them.
Hopefully Epic will bring it back one day! But until then, every season we will have to ask, is the pump back in Fortnite? In the meantime, you can check out the new Battle Pass!
