How to Get the Victory Crown in Fortnite

How to Get the Victory Crown

Players that place high enough in a Battle Royale match will be awarded the Victory Crown. According to Epic, players will be awarded the Crown if they fulfill the following conditions:

  • In Solo matches, the top four players will get the Victory Crown
  • In Duo matches, it will go to the top two teams
  • For Trios and Squad matches, only the top remaining teams will get a Crown

For players that get the Crown, they will start their next match wearing it. Having possession of it will award bonus XP for eliminations and other challenges. This can be a fleeting event, however.

Other players will see that you have the crown, and if they manage to eliminate you, they can take your Crown for themselves. Should you manage to keep hold of the Crown and win the match, you will be rewarded with a Crowned Victory Royale.

Furthermore, players that achieve this will be given a special emote that will show the total number of Crowned Victory Royales they earned throughout the season.

Bear in mind, if you accidentally (or otherwise) drop the crown during a match, it will lose its glow and disqualify you from getting a Crowned Victory Royale for that match.

Keeping the Crown won’t be easy, but being the best never is. Perhaps the new sliding mechanic will help you stay alive long enough to claim the prize.
