Epic Games has started bringing players together for in-game events in Fortnite through its Soundwave Series. The Gen Hoshino concert kicked off just a few days after the start of Chapter 3 Season 3 to celebrate the launch of the new season. As part of the concert, players can complete an optional challenge to get the Gen Hoshino coin and unlock 40,000 XP.
How to Get the Gen Hoshino Coin in Fortnite
To get the Gen Hoshino coin in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, players simply need to watch the concert. Once it ends, the coin will appear for players to collect. Once you’ve done that, head back to the main menu and you’ll receive 40,000 XP and an exclusive Soundwave Series spray. This challenge is only available for a few days, so be sure to act quickly.
To get into the Gen Hoshino concert, simply change the game mode and look for the Soundwave Series: Gen Hoshino option. Once you’ve done that, start the game like normal and you’ll load into the concert.
In total, the concert will last about 20 minutes, and you’ll be able to fly around, dance, and vibe to some great music. There are also music notes that will appear throughout the concert that you can run around and collect for a few hundred XP each. That’s really all there is to getting the Gen Hoshino coin in Fortnite.
Of course, you can always listen to the concert again, but you won’t get any additional XP from listening to it a second time. Though, the music notes will still appear if you listen to the concert again, and is an easy way to get a few thousand XP.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass to see what’s offered this season. There are also plenty of challenges to complete this season like finding Sunbird or Moon Hawk and locating the three Greasy Grove Tover Tokens.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 launched on Sunday, June 5, and brought with it tons of new locations to explore and lots of colors. So if you haven’t hopped in yet, be sure to get the Gen Hoshino coin and check out the new season.
