The battle royale terrain in Fortnite is one of the most varied out there – and finding a patch of tall grass can be a key route to victory. This handy environmental feature totally hides your character if crouched, making you invisible to players running past. That’ll let you get the drop on unwitting opponents – but tall grass is sometimes quite hard to find. Fear not, as we go through the tall grass location in Fortnite.
Where to Find Tall Grass in Fortnite
Tall grass can be found around the eastern regions of the Fortnite map, in the grassy patches between Sanctuary and Coney Crossroads. There are several patches of tall grass around there, meaning you’ll always find a solid hiding place. Equally, it’s worth checking the peripheral areas around the Daily Bugle.
As a lot of the current Fortnite map is covered in frost and ice, tall grass is somewhat rare. That’s probably why it’s currently being used as part of an objective. The task is to hide within this type of grass for ten seconds, making it particularly easy to complete in the early stages of a match. Most tall grass is located around the Daily Bugle in the top-right of the map. Both the grass and this location are new to Chapter 3 Season 1, so it’s no surprise. As such, quest-hunters will want to head over there to complete this mission.
However, if you’re using tall grass solely for stealth, there are other options. Bushes provide an equal amount of cover from enemies, as you can burrow within them and remain invisible. Even better, they appear all across the map, so you don’t have to go to one specific area to find them.
