How To Skip The Intro In Forza Horizon 5
There are two videos when you launch Forza Horizon 5. One is for Playground Games – Forza’s developer and the other is Xbox Game Studios.
They can be pretty annoying mainly because they can’t be skipped and if you play on and off. Here’s what you need to do if you want to skip them completely every time you launch Forza Horizon 5:
- Go to Forza Horizon 5’s install directory. (Steam Library > Right-click Forza > Manage > Browse Local Files)
- Go to the “media” folder.
- Navigate to “UI” > “Videos”.
- Find file “T10_MS_Combined.bk2” and rename it to “T10_MS_Combined-intro.bk2”.
IMPORTANT: With this method, updates and verification of files’ integrity will rename the file to the original file name, which means that the intro will start showing at launch again. This means that you have to do the same procedure every time there’s a new update or you verify the files.
It is also important to note that you shouldn’t expect lighting launch times. While it is faster, it doesn’t mean that it will launch install. The intro videos are mainly there to fill in the loading times.
However, it will still be drastically faster without the intro videos mainly because they’re so long.
Also, this won’t brick your game or corrupt your install whatsoever. That file is the intro video. By renaming it, the game can’t find it cause it’s looking for the old name, so it skips it completely.
This means more time for racing!
