Forza Horizon 5 knows how important it is to keep players engaged for as long as possible. While races can do a lot for players, there’s another thing that they really want to use to keep you hooked. The max rank of Forza Horizon 5 is similar to old games, in that you gain experience to continue climbing through prestige levels. However, the number of ranks that you’ll need to plow through might be a bit higher than you’re expecting. How high? Let’s find out.
What’s the Max Rank in Forza Horizon 5?
The maximum rank that you can achieve in Forza Horizon 5 is 2999. This rank compiles XP from upgrading cars, performing small tasks, completing Super7 cards, and more across the world of Forza. The ranks are almost purely cosmetic and will mostly just be there to change your appearance during races. They are also “spent” whenever you Prestige. However, there’s no doubt that it’d be imposing to meet a high-rank player on the race track.

In order to tell what prestige level someone is, it’s important to break down how many ranks you’ll need in order to break prestige thresholds. Thanks to a reddit post, we have a pretty great idea about how many ranks we’ll need for each prestige.
The number in bold is your current prestige, and the number that comes after is the number of ranks you’ll need to reach the next prestige.
- 0: 200
- 1: 300
- 2: 400
- 3: 500
- 4: 600
- 5: 750
- 6: 850
- 7: 900
- 8: 1000
- 9: 1500
- 10: 2999
Needless to say, this is a quite a bit of rank grinding! Experience seems to cap at around 30k per rank, which you can build quickly. But, you need a ton of ranks to prestige at later levels.
Thankfully, prestige does nothing substantial for you. It’s mostly just bragging rights, and a fancy cosmetic ribbon. While your enemies may fear you, it’s not because you have boosts to any stats.
