Forza Horizon 5 gives you the opportunity to play with people from all over the world. With great races and beautiful scenery, Horizon 5 promises to be a step forwards for the series. That being said, the game still suffers a bit with having no standard way to connect to friends. Veterans may be used to this, but if you want to play Forza Horizon 5 with friends, you’ll have to jump through some hoops. We’ll show you how to ace this circus trick.
How to Play Forza Horizon 5 With Friends
If you want to play with friends in Forza Horizon 5, you’ll need to use the Convoy system. This mechanic will allow you to invite your friends, no matter what console they are on. Get to the Online menu by completing the first few races, and head over to the “Convoy” option to open FH5‘s lobby. Then, you can just invite up to 12 of your friends along to whatever missions or events you choose.
When making a Convoy, you can set up “Friend Only” or “Invite Only” to make sure nobody else joins your convoy. To find friends, you’ll have to go to the player’s tab and look around for a bit. Crossplay is a double-edged sword. It might take a while to find the correct names or tags that every player in your party has.
While in a Convoy, all players will automatically join whatever events the leader joins. This basically removes the random element of matchmaking for online events. And with the party limit being 12, everyone is going to be able to join the fun.
In addition, FH5 is currently struggling with a few hiccups in multiplayer. Occasionally, friends will be disconnected from your convoy. If this happens, it might mean the servers are struggling. Try to invite them again. If that fails, then you might want to wait a bit before doing too much online.
