Genshin Impact is a multiplayer open-world game with gacha elements. It features a large area to explore. There are countless enemies to fight, puzzles to solve and treasures to find. Players get to explore the large world of Teyvat that has many different regions. Players get to fast travel through regions quickly with the use of Waypoints they’ve unlocked. However, Waypoints are sometimes locked behind puzzles before you can unlock them. One such puzzle is hidden underwater in Sumeru, the newest region.

How To Unlock The Underwater Waypoint In Sumeru in Genshin Impact
The waypoint can be found in the central region of Sumeru. You will have to solve a few puzzles in order to lower the water levels of this area.
The first step is to find a locked mechanism guarded by a few Ruin Machines. Defeat them and activate the mechanism. This will lower the water level a bit, but not completely.
After that, you can head down and follow a path into a cave. There will be another locked mechanism here. To open it, you will have to find and activate 4 Dendro Monuments found inside the cave.
The first 3 monuments are easy to find. They are either out in the open or behind Entangled Rocks that you can break with Dendrograna.

The last one is locked behind a wall that seems to be unpassable.
But if you climb the left side of the wall, you can see an opening.
You can climb inside and activate the Dendro Monument from there.
Go back to the mechanism and activate it. This will lower the water level even further.
You can now head back outside.
Once outside, you’ll notice that there is no more water.
Now you’ll be able to approach and unlock the waypoint!
