In Ghost of Tsushima, iron is one of the main materials that are needed in order to upgrade your weapons. As you play through the game, you’ll need more and more iron in order to upgrade your weapons and make them as strong as possible. With that in mind, it would probably be a good idea to get an understanding of where you can farm iron in Ghost of Tsushima, so, here’s some help!
Where to Farm Iron in Ghost of Tsushima
Overall, there are quite a few places players can farm iron in Ghost of Tsushima, but the most effective is by liberating enemy outposts, as it is a guaranteed reward for the player upon completion. Furthermore, there are also three other ways the player can easily get iron in Ghost of Tsushima, which you can see listed down below.
- Common loot in Strongholds, Farms, and Outposts
- Buy iron from Trappers
- Received from gift altars
Despite the varied methods, your best bet to getting some iron would be by far the outpost route, as you are not guaranteed to find iron as common loot in all three locations. Further, you also won’t always receive iron from gift altars, as the rewards from them can vary from rare crafting materials to masks and headpieces. However, it is guaranteed from liberating Outposts.
To reiterate, your best option is to stick to liberating outposts if you want to farm iron fast. We suggest starting from the bottom of the map and work your way up to the northern outpost, as these will reward more iron than those found in the southern regions. However, if you’re in a pinch, you can also just buy iron from trappers, but it’ll cost you precious supplies.
