One of the best first-person shooters of all time may finally see its re-release announced soon. The Goldeneye 007 achievements were briefly viewable on the Xbox website this weekend.

Back in January, the Goldeneye 007 achievements leaked via TrueAchievements. A month later, industry insiders mentioned that an announcement was imminent. While that didn’t happen, Microsoft does have its June Games Showcase coming this Sunday.
The possibility of a Goldeneye remaster or re-release has been a persistent rumor for years. There’s now too much smoke for there not to be fire—the Goldeneye007 achievements screen-captured by Wario64 match those on the TrueAchievements website. We’ll know for sure come Sunday.
One of the greatest games of all time, the Nintendo 64 classic Goldeneye 007 redefined what a console FPS could be. It saw a “remaster” in 2010 with Goldeneye 007. In reality, the game was a re-imagining of the beloved classic, having more in common with Call of Duty than the N64 game.
