Gran Turismo 7: Tuning and Customization Guide

Players have been waiting to get their hands on the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 since a long time. In this article, we will tell you to customize and tune your car in Sony’s upcoming racing game.

Gran Turismo 7 has brought back the Tuning shop feature in the game after a long time. It allows players to upgrade and tune everything in their cars. You can change the performance of each car as well as customize it according to your liking. There are plenty of choices available across different categories for the first time in the series.

Tuning and Customization – Gran Turismo 7

You can buy specific parts for your car by using the Tuning Shop menu as shown in the State of Play presentation. Unlike its predecessor, Gran Turismo 7 requires you to first purchase the necessary part with credit before you can equip it. So if you want to use hard comfort tires in your car, you need to purchase them from the shop first for 1250 credits.

The Tuning Shop has a large variety of different types of parts such as air filters, brake pads, tires, weight reducers and intercoolers. The prices for these parts start from 1,000 credits all the way upto 50,000 credits. In case you wish to know more details about the part you are interested in, the item description will provide you with an explanation of how it will affect the vehicle.

Once you purchase different types of parts, you will be able to edit a tuning sheet just like in Gran Turismo Sport. You will find various types of customization options on offer such as fully interchangeable suspensions, acceleration and braking sensitivities, steering and supercharger adjustments etc.

Changing these settings will affect the overall performance and handling characteristics of your car so it is important that you make any changes carefully.

When it comes to cosmetics, there are tons of options available for players to customize their cars. You will be able to access over 650 aerodynamics parts like Spoilers and Bumpers. There are also 130 types of rims and 1200 car colours available.

Also for the first time in the series, wide-body customisations are also available. You can also add a roll cage to your car to get an authentic racing feel. Remember that any cosmetic item you purchase will also cost you credits just like the Tuning Shop.

That’s everything you need to know about customization and tuning in the game.Gran Turismo 7 will available on the PS4 and PS5 on March 5 2022.
