Hades: Controller or Keyboard | What is Better?

In the world of gaming, there has always been a battle between players who play with controllers and those who prefer a mouse and keyboard. We can’t really say which is better but it’s true that some games are better with controllers and some only with a mouse and keyboard. So, what about Hades? Is Hades better with a controller or keyboard? Let’s find out.

Is Hades Better With a Controller or Keyboard?

The reason why it’s difficult to say whether Hades will be better to play with a keyboard or a controller is because of player habits. What does this mean? Well, for those players who are used to playing with a mouse and keyboard, a controller will never be better. The same goes for players who only play games with a controller. They will never say that a keyboard is better. So, how do we decide?

Well, let’s look at some facts. Hades is a roguelike action dungeon crawler game. Even though most players stick to a mouse and keyboard when it comes to FPS games, Hades still requires good aiming skills in order to prosper.

Having a controller isn’t bad, but it can significantly affect your aiming if it has a bad aim assist. As a result, a mouse and keyboard are almost always better for good aiming purposes.

On the other hand, smooth and easy movement is also important. Now, a keyboard can’t compare to the controller’s smooth joystick that allows much easier movement control. For those reasons, a controller would be better than a keyboard.

So, what can we learn from this?

When it comes to Hades, a keyboard is better if you’re doing a build that requires precision aim. In other words, if you depend on your aiming skills and need laser focus, then a mouse and keyboard will be better.

However, if you want fluid and smooth movements that won’t make your hands tired or force you to screw up, then a controller will almost always serve you better.

We can only conclude that whether a keyboard or controller is better for Hades depends on what your main priorities are. At the end of the day, you’re going to have a better gaming experience if you use the device you’re most comfortable with. Don’t expect to have fun and win if you’ve never held a controller in your hands before. The same can be said for a mouse and keyboard as well.
